Day 399

Suddenly there was dramatic change in the politics of Bihar. Out of blue moon, Nitish Kumar resigned as the Chief Minister of Bihar. As I have stated in my blog titled Day 392 dated 18 July 2017, something will happen within ten days. Silence of Nitish Kumar was indicating something unexpected. Exactly after 8 days, his move astonished everyone. I don’t know how to react now but this has worked in favour of Nitish Kumar. The blame game has started in the state as it was expected. Allegations and counter allegations will go on for at least a fortnight. I’m just thinking that what will happen tomorrow? From tomorrow the monsoon session of Bihar assembly is going to start.
As I have written in my previous posts also that Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar both are rigid this time over their issues. Lalu won’t allow his son Tejashwi to resign and Nitish won’t compromise on his clean image and about zero tolerance about corruption. That thing has turned true. It was my thought that Nitish Kumar will resign that will lead to fall of government and then with the help of BJP he will make the government again. That thought has turned in to reality. It was beyond my wildest imagination that all these will happen so fast. Nitish Kumar resigned last night and immediately Sushil Kumar Modi met the governor and gave the support letter in favour of Nitish Kumar. Today morning, the governor invited Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi to swear in as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
Obviously, Lalu Prasad Yadav is furious on Nitish Kumar. He is blaming Nitish for breaking the grand alliance. According to Lalu Yadav, Nitish Kumar is a traitor who has turned the side just to save his chair. He is even saying that Nitish Kumar is accused in a murder case and the judicial case in pending at Patna High Court against Nitish Kumar. This is bigger crime than the corruption. Now JD (U) is saying that there is nothing like this against Nitish Kumar and he is having clean image. All the charges being framed by RJD is baseless.  Well this type of things will go on. This issue won’t die so soon. As soon as the news of Nitish Kumar’s resignation was out and BJP supporting him was out, party workers of RJD began to block the roads connecting North Bihar to Patna. Lalu Yadav has said that very soon he will file a case in Supreme Court against Bihar Governor, Mr Keshri Nath Tripathi for not inviting RJD to form the government after Nitish Kumar resigned yesterday evening. RJD is the largest party in the Bihar assembly then how could he ignore the largest party in the assembly and invite second largest party to form the government. Tejashwi Yadav too is furious with Nitish Kumar. Well, according to me, I anticipated that these type of things will happen if Nitish Kumar breaks the alliance and resign from his post. My suggestion was to have fresh election in the state. But BJP joined hands with Nitish Kumar to form the government and to avoid the costly affair of election.
From tomorrow, monsoon session will start for Bihar assembly. It’s obvious that it will be filled with chaos and shouting. Tough thing for Nitish Kumar will be proving the majority in this chaotic situation in the assembly. It’s clear that RJD legislators won’t sit quietly in the assembly. Now Lalu Yadav will play the sympathy card across the state for his son. Tejashwi Yadav will be projected as the targeted one not only by the Nitish Kumar but as well as CBI, Income Tax and ED as well. Indeed, Nitish Kumar has saved his image and his chair by changing the side. But indirectly he has given this golden opportunity to Lalu Yadav to build up a launch pad for Tejashwi. Still we have two and half years for election in Bihar. Let’s see what happens in the near future.
