I know that I’m writing today after a gap of four long months. The past four months were like roller-coaster for me. I have seen high phase and low phase of time in my life. Actually, there had been lots of chances to write but my mood swing was totally unpredictable. Many times, I have been brainstorming for writing but suddenly my mood got swinged and sprirt of writing was gone.
But I never thought that I would write on one of the
black days of modern Indian history. Yes, couple of days ago was the first death anniversary
of innocent tourists who were enjoying their holidays in Pahalgam. I don’t want
to repeat the history by stating it again that the civilians were killed on the
basis of religion. It’s an open fact now that terrorists killed civilians
because those people weren’t Muslims. Actually, these shows the sick mentality
of the fundamental organisations operating from Pakistan. Operation Sindoor was
the appropriate reply to the terrorists organisations based in Pakistan. But I
wasn’t happy with the ceasefire of the Operation Sindoor. This operation should
have gone for a week at least. Indeed, America came in rescue of Pakistan but America
has always ditched India for its own interest. Actually, if we look back in
history for the last 50 years only, America has always ditched its allies when
the matter came in for American interest.
Well, I think that now our defence forces are equipped
to tackle the cross border problems very efficiently. I think the situation is
more complex when the matter comes with think tanks within our society. Actually,
I was thinking about what happened in Pune. In the name of secularism, handful Muslim
higher officials tried to impose Islamic thoughts and practises on their Hindu
subordinates and tried to get them converted as Muslims. Few political parties
are trying to oppress this matter. But I wonder what would have happened if Hindu
officials would have done same thing on Muslim subordinates. Then the hell
would have been loose open. There would have been much hue and cry and every
news channel would have been having serious debates airing on their primetime
shows. But all the media houses are silent because the target employees were Hindus.
Yes, its possible in India that being the majority
portion of the population, Hindus are tolerable. If a Hindu tries to say
something in his defence then he is called as communalism. I was wondering that
why the rights of Hindus are always curtailed and Muslims enjoy their full rights.
After few studies, I found that the answer lies in our Constitution. Our Constitution
was formed in such a way in name of Secularism that Muslims are allowed to have
Madarsa, Christians can have their convent schools, every other religions can
have their own educational institutes where they can teach their own religious
teachings but Hindus aren’t allowed to have any educational institute for their
religious teachings. I want to ask what type of Secularism is this? Doesn’t the
basic definition of Secularism doesn’t apply on Hindus living in India? Why so
much discrimination is done against Hindus only? I hope any intellectual person
or secular political party can answer my question.
